Biography
He was born in Toronto, on November 12, 1945. He was a fan of R&B, Country, dะพะพ-wะพั, rock n roll music. He played in several bands while attending Kelvin High School in Winnipeg. The Squires was his first official band which performed in Ontario and Winnipeg and had decent success. He published several ัะตrัะตั ะพf nัbblะตั with this band.

He started playing music on a plastic ukulele. While he studied in Earl Grey Junior High School he formed his first band, known as the Jades, but they never had major recognition. After his career in ย โThe Squiresโ Neil worked in folk clubs in Winnipeg and wrote lots of great songs such as โSugar Mountainโ.
